The challenge
The platform served multiple user profiles within the same system: health system executives needed consolidated performance visibility and financial incentive potential; clinicians needed patient-level drill-down with clear action messages; informaticists needed granular control over data and reports.
Unifying these distinct contexts into a coherent, clear, and actionable experience was the central design problem.
What we did
We worked with SpectraMedix on product design and institutional website redesign.
For the product, the work covered the complete eMeasures 360 experience: from the login screen with profile segmentation (Health System Executive, Practice Executive, Clinician, Informaticist), through programme summary dashboards, to drill-downs by measure, by patient, and by physician. Each view was designed with information hierarchy appropriate to the profile, prioritising what each user needed to make decisions: whether an aggregate incentive potential view by practice, or the list of patients with inadequate HbA1c control and the corresponding action message.
Programmes covered by the design included MIPS (Quality, Advancing Care Information, Clinical Practice Improvement Activities), New York State DSRIP, Hospital IQR eCQM, The Joint Commission eCQM, and Readmission Reduction Programme. The product needed to be visually and functionally consistent across all these contexts, with reusable components, trend line visualisation patterns, physician performance comparisons, and national and state benchmarks.
The website redesign was developed in Adobe XD, evolving through multiple versions with the SpectraMedix team.
How we worked
The team was assembled and operated from Brazil, integrated directly into SpectraMedix's product team in New Jersey, working in close collaboration with technical staff and product stakeholders.
I have found this team to be very professional and a dependable partner in all our interactions. Quality of deliverables has been excellent, and they will always remain a trusted partner for Spectramedix.
